Newtown, PA (May 25, 2010) – 3rd Federal Bank will be hosting free paper shredding with Titan Mobile Shredding on Saturday, June 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the grand opening of its new “green” Woodhaven branch, located at Knights and Woodhaven Roads in Northeast Philadelphia. It gives local residents a chance to safely destroy years of accumulated personal documents that are taking up space in their homes.
Participants are limited to three standard file boxes (12” x 15” x 10”) or copy paper boxes. Accepted is paper of any type or color; staples and paper clips are allowed. Not permitted are newspapers, magazines, phonebooks, three-ring binders, accordion folders and non-paper items.
The new Woodhaven branch represents the bank’s first effort towards LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Designed by Philadelphia-based architectural firm Wiedmann-Zelig Group, LLC, the 3,028-gross square foot facility is expected to receive Silver-level LEED designation, an internationally-recognized green building certification.
The grand opening celebration on June 5 will include fun activities for the whole family, a grand opening CD rate special and tours of the new green building.
