Newtown, PA (November 4, 2009) – 3rd Federal Bank recently received numerous awards from the local community for its dedication to customer service excellence, positive workplace initiatives and for the bank’s outstanding contributions and efforts in promoting economic development and vitality.
The bank was named One of the Best Banks in Bucks County by readers of The Intelligencer newspaper and Best Bank from readers of the Fishtown Star newspaper. Both newspapers publish their “Best Of” issue annually, which includes the winning results of write-in votes from readers. This is the second consecutive year the bank has been awarded the honor from The Intelligencer.
The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce honored the bank with an Economic Development Award for its contribution to area economic development. Those nominating businesses were asked to evaluate the company on various criteria including their contribution to the local business environment, the creation of jobs for local residents and how the 14-branch community bank has contributed to local nonprofit service organizations.
In honor of the bank’s positive workplace initiatives, 3rd Federal Bank was recently named One of the Best Places to Work by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The Best Places to Work program ranks the top employers in the Delaware Valley according to scores given to the companies by their own workers. Employees were asked to rank the bank on 38 questions relating to team effectiveness, trust with coworkers, alignment with goals, trust in senior leaders, and people practices, as well as respect, recognition and benefits.
